How to use this template
This template allows you to create a ticking countdown.
How to get started
All you need to get started is a date that you would like to count down to. You can set it up to count down to a certain date, or go to a more granular level with hours, minutes and seconds.
You can also configure the text that displays when the countdown is finished in the Display text when finished setting.
Custom date formats
The default format will display with English abbreviations such as "d", "h", "m" and "s", but you can configure the order as well as pre- and suffixes by typing an alternative format into the Content > Custom settings. Simply use curly brackets ({{}}) around the variables to include them. Here's an example:
10 days and 10 hours: {{d}} days and {{h}} hours
You can also include custom HTML to add styling and formatting – for example to color some words differently. You can learn more about custom HTML and CSS here.
The sample data in our countdown template shows a countdown until the March 2024 lunar eclipse.

This template does not have any data bindings, so you shouldn't include
data or bindings key/value pairs in your

Accessibility
layout.screenreader_hide_primary boolean
Screenreader mode for main visual container. Whether the main visual container is visible to screenreaders. (Text in the header and footer are always available to screenreaders.) Allowed values:

Screenreader description. A text alternative to the visual content that will only be visible to screenreaders, e.g. “The line chart shows China consistently higher than the other countries since 1990”. Do no replicate your title, since that will also be read by screenreaders.
